10 Hand-Drawn Children’s Book Illustrations
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m producing a 10-chapter children’s book aimed at readers roughly 7-11 years old and need one full-colour illustration for each of the first ten chapters. The cover art is being finalised now; once I have it I’ll share it so you can echo its palette and overall feel. All artwork must be unmistakably hand-drawn—traditional media or tablet is fine, but no AI or automated filters, please.
Creative freedom is important to me. I’ll provide a short summary of each chapter and trust your interpretation of the scene that best represents it. What matters most is that every piece:
• Conveys the characters’ emotions and expressions
• Highlights the key moment or turning point of the chapter
• Includes backgrounds rich enough to anchor the setting
Deliverables
• 10 finished, print-ready colour illustrations (300 dpi, CMYK + web-ready RGB)
• Layered files or high-resolution scans, depending on your medium
• A rough sketch or storyboard for each illustration so we can discuss before you ink/paint
• Final artwork delivered on the agreed timeline with two rounds of minor revisions if needed
