CCMC Mission Strategy Development
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
We are looking to develop a distinctive, emblem-style logo that clearly communicates Cape Cod identity + global mission in a single, unified mark.
The current direction is close, but we want to push toward a solution that feels more intentional, simplified, and cohesive — less like layered elements, and more like one integrated symbol.
Core Concept Direction
The logo should express:
Cape Cod (hooked peninsula)
Global mission (world/globe)
But importantly:
These should not feel like two separate elements placed together
The final mark must feel like one unified form
Creative Direction (New Focus)
We are especially interested in exploring these refined approaches:
1. Integrated / Negative Space Concept
The globe is carved into or formed within the Cape shape
Avoid placing a globe “inside” — instead, make it part of the structure
Strong, clean silhouette is critical
2. Emblem / Crest Structure
The mark should feel like a contained emblem or badge
Could be circular, shield-based, or self-contained form
Suitable for ministry/nonprofit identity
3. Simplified Linework
Reduce unnecessary texture and detail
Focus on intentional lines and clean shapes
Must remain clear and recognizable at small sizes
4. Subtle Symbolism (Optional)
Open to very subtle integration of:
direction / sending (compass-like feeling)
faith elements (only if tastefully integrated, not obvious)
Design Objectives
Cape Cod shape must be clearly recognizable geographically
The “hook” should read as a reaching gesture / outward movement
Globe should feel naturally integrated
Overall mark should feel:
balanced
timeless
meaningful
scalable
What to Avoid
Generic globe icons
Orbit rings / “Saturn” effects
Abstract swooshes or wave shapes
Overly detailed illustration that won’t scale
Anything that looks like a template or AI-generated composition
