I need a personal assistant who can offer specialized support for my 9-year-old daughter who has severe ADHD Autism and learning difficulties, she is non verbal but understands everything.
Key Duties:
- Providing communication support through speech therapy exercises, visual aids, schedules, and social skills training.
- Offering daily routine assistance which includes mealtime, personal hygiene assistance, organizing her daily activities, and bedtime routines.
- Undertaking learning and educational activities with my daughter and helping her develop awareness of personal needs and dangers.
Ideal Skills:
- Previous experience or training in dealing with special needs children or similar roles.
- Patience, understanding, and the ability to act as my daughter's eyes and ears in her everyday life.
She actively seeks dangerous activities but with with guidance can be steered in the right direction. My daughter struggles wit transitional activities. She can walk and is very agile but she cannot walk when going out due to her autism she struggle when out in public and so uses a pushchair. Whilst this is the case she is what is known as a flight risk due to overstimulation if the sensory system.
I myself am disabled and so this is key in getting help. Currently I am seeking someone to undertake six hours a week respite and need you to be a driver.
