C++ SRE Engineer for Web

I need an experienced Site Reliability Engineer with solid, production-level C++ skills to help keep our web-facing services healthy over the next one to three months. The engagement is fully remote, starts as soon as you’re available, and is scoped for roughly two focused hours a day, Monday through Friday.

Here is the frame I’m working within:
• 4+ years in an SRE or closely related operations role
• Demonstrable expertise diagnosing and fixing reliability issues in C++ services that back web applications
• Comfortable dropping into an existing codebase, adding the missing guardrails, and documenting what you do along the way

Because the time window each day is tight, I expect you to come in ready to pinpoint the highest-value stability tasks and knock them out with minimal guidance. You will be collaborating asynchronously with our small in-house dev team; clear commit messages, concise runbooks, and code comments will be essential.

Deliverables
1. Daily pull requests or infrastructure changes that directly improve uptime, latency, or observability of our C++ web services
2. A brief weekly summary highlighting what changed, any incidents prevented or resolved, and next steps you propose
3. Final hand-off document at project end so my team can maintain the improvements confidently
