C++/Qt/QML Application - register/handle custom URL on Mac Os X and iOS
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Our application called Noutee is developed with Qt framework using C++/QML.
Noutee App runs on Android, Windows, Mac OS X, and iOS.
We use URL to open the App on a specific screen with some parameters passed in the URL path and URL query.
An example of our URL is:
https://app.noutee.com/open/file/12345/?color_notes=1
We made this work on android using intent-filter like:
<action android:name="android.intent.action.VIEW"/>
<category android:name="android.intent.category.DEFAULT"/>
<category android:name="android.intent.category.BROWSABLE"/>
<data android:host="app.noutee.com" android:scheme="http"/>
</intent-filter>
<intent-filter>
<action android:name="android.intent.action.VIEW"/>
<category android:name="android.intent.category.DEFAULT"/>
<category android:name="android.intent.category.BROWSABLE"/>
<data android:host="app.noutee.com" android:scheme="https"/>
</intent-filter>
On Windows, we made this work only for our custom schema 'noutee', for example:
noutee://app.noutee.com/open/file/12345/?color_notes=1
So the task is to make this work on Mac OS X and iOS. We prefer a direct HTTP/HTTPS schema, but 'noutee' schema would also be acceptable.
Also making direct HTTP/HTTPS schema work on Windows would be appreciated.
The Noutee App is developed in Qt C++/QML so native code can be used but it also needs to be bridged to communicate with Qt C++.
If you prove yourself to be a skilled Qt C++/QML App developer this can be your starting project and we can offer you a lot more work on a regular basis later on.
