NS-3 Network Simulation Task
Project Overview
I am looking for assistance with a small networking task using NS-3 which can be downloaded via: https://www.nsnam.org/releases/latest (ns-allinone-3.35 version). The goal of this task is to work with the provided second.cc simulation example and modify it to evaluate network performance metrics. The task focuses on understanding how NS-3 can be used for analyzing communication networks that include both wired and wireless connections.
Required Tasks
The selected freelancer should:
• Modify the second.cc source file in NS-3.
• Calculate and display the following performance metrics at the end of the simulation:
o End-to-end delay
o Throughput
• Update the client node behavior so it sends more than one packet during the simulation.
• Use the MakeCallback() function within the implementation as required in NS-3.
Notes
• The original second.cc example is located in the NS-3 tutorial/examples files.
• Knowledge of C++ and NS-3 simulation is required.
• AI-assisted development tools may be used if needed.
