Part-Time C++ Unreal Engine Programmer [REMOTE] [TASK BASED]
Budget: €12 – €18 EUR
FiolaSoft Studio s.r.o., an indie studio in Prague, Czech Republic, is looking for a C++ programmer specialized in Unreal Engine 5.1 for the game MATCHO ( https://playmatcho.com ). We want to support our internal programmers with certain task completion to progress with the work on the game faster.
We are looking for a task-based collaboration. The programmer will report to our lead programmer, assigning new tasks and leading the conversation about them. It will be a short-term collaboration, but the work is not just about a few scripts - so a few months' worths of work is waiting. The supporting programmer will be given specific tasks to complete, contributing to the overall game systems.
The job is excellent, for example, to a recent college graduate, and offers an opportunity to work on an exciting videogame with a brand new concept.
Responsibilities:
- Writing clear, maintainable, portable C++ code
- Work with the Lead Project and Lead Game Programmers to design specific game systems
- Capability of quick iteration and feedback loops while working with the team
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Unreal Engine 4/5 (the game is running on Unreal Engine 5.1)
- Knowledge of programming in C++ (object design)
- Ability to communicate with a positive approach and willingness to learn new things
- Ability to decide and communicate deadlines and then execute the plan
Nice to have:
- Experience in previous teamwork on a game project (even unfinished counts)
- Good knowledge of 3D math
- Out-of-the-box thinking
- Good familiarity with the FPS genre
- Being able to profile own code and debug performance
- Experience with version-control tools: Perforce
