Modify an open source translation program so it can perform the translation on a piece of marked text with a simple key stroke

Hello, I’m looking for a freelancer to modify an open source program named ‘Apertium Simpelton UI’ which is based on the ‘Apertium’ program, and written in C++. It is a offline translation program which translates text from a language library. The modifications needed is for the program to perform this translation with a simple key stroke, where marked text is replaced with the translated text. I do not need any additional functionality or integration with other programs/services added, so this should be a relatively straightforward task. I'm looking with experience with C++ who can take the existing code and make the necessary modifications in order to make the use of the program much more effective.
