"Label Printing app for Windows with Serial Input"

Job ID: 37559020

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I am looking for someone with professional C# programming expertise, capable of developing a small application that runs on the Windows operating system (Windows XP / 7 and later). Your job would be to implement a system that reads plain text serial commands from COM4.

Key Features:

- Detect specific strings in the serial data. (Example: STRING 1 + STRING 2)
- When the app encounters a specified sequence (STRING 1) , it will prompt the automatic printing of a label on a USB printer with data from STRING 2.
- The label that needs to be printed already has a pre-configured design; however, it requires replacement of text with parts of the detected STRING 2

Skills and Experience:

- Proficiency in C# programming is essential. (Other languages accepted)
- Experience with handling serial data.
- Knowledge of integrating with USB printers in Windows.
- Understanding of text manipulation and dynamic content replacement.

This project requires a specialist who can effectively handle string recognition and initiate printer commands. Completion of this task means setting up an auto-printer, manipulated through serial commands in text format.
I´d like to have the source code and a single executable file or installable app for future updates.
Ideally the app should run as a tray icon in windows, and have an option for right-clicking and "pausing" the printing.
If you're capable of this, I'd like to welcome your bid.
