C++ to C# Interoperability Development

We are seeking an experienced software engineer with expertise in both C++ and C# to assist in compiling an existing C++ codebase and integrating it into a C# application. The candidate will be responsible for creating managed wrappers, converting or exposing necessary functions, and ensuring smooth interoperability between unmanaged and managed code.
Responsibilities:
Compile and troubleshoot an existing C++ project.
Design and implement interop solutions (C++/CLI or P/Invoke) to expose native C++ functionality to a C# application.
Create reusable and optimized C# DLLs that wrap the required C++ logic.
Refactor or isolate code segments where necessary for cleaner interfacing.
Write clear documentation for integration, usage, and maintenance.
Collaborate with internal developers to ensure compatibility with the existing C# environment.
Requirements:
Strong proficiency in C++, including compilation, debugging, and build configuration (MSVC, Make, or CMake).
Practical experience with C++/CLI and/or P/Invoke for .NET interop.
Solid understanding of C# and .NET framework (.NET 4.x / .NET Core / .NET 6+).
Experience in DLL creation and managed/unmanaged memory handling.
Familiarity with Visual Studio and build environments for both C++ and C#.
Good communication skills and ability to document technical workflows.
Nice to Have:
Experience with MFC, COM, or other legacy C++ technologies.
Familiarity with cross-platform compilation and Mono/.NET Core portability.
Prior work on embedded systems or real-time applications.
Deliverables:
Successfully compiled C++ library.
C#-compatible DLLs with wrapper code.
Integration documentation and test samples.
