Job ID: 38906970

Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR

Integration of Displacement Sensor and Intel RealSense with FANUC Robot for Seam Tracking

Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled freelancer to assist with integrating a displacement sensor (such as Panasonic HG-C1200) and Intel RealSense camera with a FANUC robot (R-30iA controller) to enable precise seam tracking for an automated welding setup. The freelancer will be responsible for interfacing both the sensor and RealSense camera with the robot, setting up communication, and writing the necessary programs to control robot motion based on real-time displacement and vision data.

Responsibilities:
1. Sensor Integration:
• Connect a displacement sensor (e.g., Panasonic HG-C1200) to the PC using Ethernet/IP, RS232, or another suitable communication protocol.
• Integrate the Intel RealSense camera with the PC to capture real-time 3D vision data for seam tracking.
• Process sensor data (e.g., displacement values and 3D vision data from RealSense) on the PC, including filtering, scaling, and noise reduction.
• Set up communication between the PC and FANUC robot to send displacement values and vision data to the robot in real-time.
2. FANUC Robot Programming (Karel):
• Write a Karel program for the FANUC robot that can receive both displacement sensor data and vision data from the PC.
• Parse the sensor data and RealSense vision data in Karel, and use it to adjust the robot’s motion for seam tracking and precise path correction.
• Ensure that the robot’s path and positioning are dynamically adjusted based on both the displacement feedback and the RealSense camera’s seam tracking.
• Achieve high precision (0.05mm) during the robotic operation.
3. Testing and Fine-Tuning:
• Test the system to ensure accurate reception of both the displacement and vision data by the robot.
• Ensure smooth, real-time response from the robot based on both sensor and vision data.
• Address any communication, data parsing, or precision issues that arise during testing and make necessary adjustments.

Skills Required:
• Experience with FANUC robot controllers (R-30iA, R-30iB, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of Karel programming for FANUC robots.
• Experience with sensor integration, particularly displacement sensors like Panasonic HG-C1200.
• Proficiency in working with Intel RealSense cameras for 3D vision and seam tracking.
• Familiarity with Ethernet/IP, RS232, Modbus, or other communication protocols.
• Ability to interface PCs with robots and handle real-time data exchange.
• Experience in robot seam tracking or welding automation is a plus.

Preferred Experience:
• Previous work integrating vision systems (such as Intel RealSense) with industrial robots.
• Experience using Karel or Robot Programming Language (TP) for FANUC robots.
• Familiarity with displacement measurement systems and 3D vision systems.
• Knowledge of vision-based seam tracking and real-time robot motion correction.

Budget: Negotiable, based on experience and scope of work.
