We are looking for an experienced Chromium developer to help us create a custom web browser focused on privacy for MacOS, Windows, and Linux platforms.
We are looking for an experienced Chromium developer to help us develop Metta Browser, a privacy-focused web browser similar to Brave. Previously, we had a functional version, but due to security breaches, we lost most of our source code. However, we still have some remnants of the code that may assist in the redevelopment process.
Our goal is to create a secure, high-performance browser that supports Google Chrome extensions while prioritizing privacy, speed, and security. The browser must be compatible with MacOS, Windows, and Linux.
The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the Chromium codebase and experience in building secure, efficient, and user-friendly applications. Your role will involve enhancing privacy features, optimizing performance, and ensuring compatibility across multiple operating systems. Project Requirements:
• Develop a Chromium-based web browser with functionality similar to Brave.
• Support Google Chrome extensions via the Chrome Web Store.
• Cross-platform compatibility: macOS, Windows, and Linux.
• Focus on privacy and security, blocking trackers and intrusive ads.
• Custom UI and branding to reflect the Metta Browser identity.
• Ability to implement a crypto rewards system (optional, but a plus).
Ideal Candidate Should Have:
• Strong experience in Chromium development and browser customization.
• Proficiency in C++, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS (or other relevant languages).
• Experience building cross-platform applications (Mac, Windows, Linux).
