Enhancement of 3D Slicer Radiology Tool

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

We are working to enhance the open-source radiology image viewer *3D Slicer* for more effective use as an annotation tool. The improvements include:

* UI enhancements
* Integration of generative AI features
* Addition of project management functionalities

The project is nearing completion, but some final tasks remain. We are looking for an engineer to help complete the remaining development over the next two months.

**\[Scope of Work]**

* Modifying existing modules and developing new plugins
* UI refinement and UX improvements using Qt
* Implementing image processing pipelines with CTK, VTK, and/or ITK
* Writing unit/integration tests and preparing technical documentation
* Weekly meetings for requirement checks and progress sharing

**\[Required Skills & Experience]**

* 3+ years of experience in C++ development
* 3+ years of experience in Python development
* Hands-on experience with Qt, VTK, or ITK
* Experience with Git/GitHub in a team development environment

**\[Preferred Qualifications]**

* Development experience with 3D Slicer or similar medical imaging software
* Knowledge of medical imaging formats like DICOM, NIfTI
* Experience setting up and managing CI/CD environments

**\[Contract Details]**

* Type: Freelance (Fully remote)
* Commitment: 20–40 hours/week (flexible)
* Duration: 2 months (expected start in early July)
* Compensation: Based on experience and skill level (negotiable)
