C++ Developer and Cryptography expert for Implementing Key/secret recovery from CryptoMemory chip

Job ID: 38229634

Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD

We are seeking a skilled C++ developer with experience in cryptographic implementations to write code for recovery the secret key \(Gc\) from CryptoMemory chip. This project involves implementing an algorithm based on the methodologies detailed in the attached research papers, which outline practical cryptanalysis techniques for these cryptographic systems.

Project Details:

- Inputs: The code that you write, will receive the following inputs:
- \(C_i\) (Cryptogram i)
- \(Q\) (Nonce from reader)
- \(Ch\) (Cryptogram header)
- \(C_{i+1}\) (Cryptogram i+1)
- Outputs: The code should compute and extract the Secret Seed (Gc) from good frames.
- Validation: The implementation must be validated against the results provided in this [GitHub repository](https://github.com/nfc-tools/nfc-cryptorf).

Requirements:

1. Experience in Cryptography: Applicants must have a proven track record in implementing cryptographic algorithms, preferably with experience in stream ciphers and smart card security.
2. Proficiency in C++: Strong skills in C++ programming are required. Experience with low-level programming and hardware interfaces will be a plus.
3. Understanding of Cryptographic Protocols: Familiarity with the authentication and encryption mechanisms used in CryptoMemory and similar technologies.
4. Research Papers: The candidate must be able to understand and translate the methodologies described in the provided research papers into working code.

Deliverables:

- A C++ implementation of the key recovery algorithm.
- Detailed documentation explaining the code, how it works, and how to run it.
- Test cases demonstrating the correct recovery of the secret key \(Gc\).

Budget and Timeline:

- Budget: $500 - $1500, based on experience and expertise.
- Timeline: 1 - 4 weeks.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior experience with similar cryptographic projects.
- Ability to propose alternative practical solutions for key extraction.
- Experience with RFID systems and secure memory devices.

If you have the expertise and are interested in this project, please submit your proposal including your relevant experience, a brief plan on how you intend to approach this project, and any previous similar work you have done.

Looking forward to collaborating with a talented developer who can help us achieve our goals with CryptoMemory/cryptoRF!

Note:
1- Currently on GitHub at: https://github.com/RfidResearchGroup/proxmark3/tree/master/tools/cryptorf
C++ code implementation for SecureMemory is written and uploaded which works correctly.
2- I am not specifically looking for someone who has implemented key/secret recovery algorithms before, but such experience could be beneficial. If this project aligns with your skill set and interest, I'd love to hear from you.
3- please check attachment articles before sending your proposal.

thanks
