Create windows application that will trim video and upload to dropbox
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I am looking for a skilled developer to create a windows application that will trim video and upload it to Dropbox. Here are the project requirements:
Supported Video Formats:
- The application should support MP4 video format.
Optimization for Specific Devices/Platforms:
- The video does not need to be optimized for specific devices or platforms.
Video Compression:
- The application does not need to compress the video.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in Windows application development.
- Familiarity with Dropbox API for file uploading.
I need a windows program that will take a video file (mp4) from a directory, trim the video file and then upload to dropbox.
This application is for use on a driving experience where we take an onboard video of the customer, they will then have it uploaded and edited into short form so the customer can upload to social media(if they choose to buy the full video)
This is how the process will work.
- The operator will insert a usb into the pc.
- When opening the application it will ask for a wristband number, this is the customers unique identifier and there will be a drop box folder by date and wristband number where this file will be uploaded later.
- Next the application will open a file open dialog box to locate the video files to be uploaded.(there could be more than one video to be edited )
- The application will then go to the first minute in the video (1:30) and take 15 seconds from the video, then will take 15 seconds of the video from the end of the video (-1:30 from the end of the video) and merge these together to make a 30 second video.
-This video will then be uploaded to a dropbox folder which will already exist (date and wristband number)
- Then you will upload the original files that were selected to dropbox (with not edits)
Important note that if the video is less than 2 minutes long this video will be skipped and that we need to be able to process multiple files at the same time.

We currently have a program in phyton that works so you can use that for reference.
