The idea is to create a platform for geophysics specialists as well as for researchers.
The software is considered to be used in oil/gas companies.
It is hard to compete with world leaders in this area but there are tasks that may be considered as standalone solution implemented in such a software. Such tasks are seismic data visualization (along with other oil/gas industry data), seismic wave modeling, inversion and model building/editing.
To better understand what is planned one should take a look at Tesseral software (http://www.tesseral-geo.com/) and at Petrel (https://www.software.slb.com/products/petrel). Technical part is similar to Tesseral and Visualization is from Petrel.
For more information take a look at attached files (.pptx and .pdf are equal but .pptx may play some animation on few slides).
