Job ID: 34476249

Budget: $30 – $250 CAD

Desired skill sets:

Dynamics and control - advanced
Mechatronic assembly - intermediate
C++ coding in raspberry pi for a mechatronic system - Intermediate
Git experience - basic
Teaching + writing - advanced

Desired personality trait:

Preference is given for someone who has a genuine desire to teaching robotics to others in an intuitive way.

Why this project?

I am building a robotics website that focuses on the basics of robot control. Idea is to convey relevant knowledge used in the industry with well-written articles that aim to create intuitive feel for the interdisciplinary nature of robotics.

How will this project be useful?

The code will be open sourced through git so anyone can play with it. As a freelancer, you can build a solid robotics work profile that will help you in future job applications related to robot firmware development. If I like the work, I may give follow-up projects depending on the content plan.

About the project:

Expected effort: about 4 weeks.

Week 1: Build the hardware: Assemble the robot + raspberry pi and the electronics.

Week 2: Test sensors and actuators with C++ code

Week 3: Build the control loop

Week 4: Tune and test.

In each step, you will need to capture the aspects followed to finish the step in a word document that we will iterate and improve upon. Make sure to especially capture the new knowledge or some interesting aspects you found while working on the website as side notes. This is intended to be the content for the website. Github will be used for source control.

Please feel free to honestly communicate your thoughts and questions.
