VM Backup and recovery
Budget: ₹150,000 – ₹250,000 INR
I'm looking for an experienced freelancer to help me develop my own backup and recover solution for virtual machines. Specifically, the solution needs to be compatible with VMware. I'm open to recommendations on what the best backup and recover solution should be; however, it is preferred that my own product is developed. Depending on our product, I would like the ability to be able to make backups according to our own schedule.
Functional Requirement.
You need to implement only one use-case as of now:
EPIC 1: This product will help customers to take backup of their Virtual Machine hosted in their Data Center. Backup copy will be in the Ceph.io cluster hosted in the customer Data center.
On the SAAS platform customers should be able to create policies to take Full or incremental backup. Backup will be done on ceph.io cluster. Then there will be a policy which will replicate the data on ceph.io to AWS S3 tier. Then customers configure different policies to move data from S3 tier to different other cheap storage tier.
Non-Functional requirement.
1. You need to develop a SAAS platform based on AWS initially. I will prefer to use Open source software instead of an AWS managed solution. But am fine if you want to use AWS managed solutions initially for rapid prototyping.
2. Strong Authentication/Authorization as it will be initially used by multiple enterprises/clients. So it should support multi-tenancy. But again for rapid prototyping you can be as lean as possible.
3. Customers should only run some script in their Data center to install/upgrade Agents. Script should be able to install/upgrade and configure ceph.io cluster
I will prefer if you can use Sprint boot and Golang, but am open for discussion on Tech Stack.
