Autonomous ArduPilot Algorithm for Fixed-Wing Aircraft

This is a hands-on project for developing a smart algorithm to be used in the autonomous navigation of an outdoor fixed-wing aircraft. The right candidate should have a solid background in software development and a firm understanding of how to implement ArduPilot, specifically as it relates to mapping and navigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop an autonomous navigation algorithm for outdoor fixed-wing swarm aircraft
- Generate the software code necessary for APM:Plane to maintain a proper flight pattern
- Implement the ArduPilot algorithm through C++ programming
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience in ArduPilot software integration
- Background in C++ programming
- Knowledge in UAV, specifically fixed-wing aircraft operations
- Proven track record of successfully developed and implemented mapping algorithms
- Proficiency in autonomous navigation
- Experience working with outdoor aerial vehicles preferred
