C++ API Functions Porting to C#

Job ID: 37910175

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I'm looking for a skilled developer with strong knowledge in C++ and C# programming languages to assist in porting four (4) NEW C++ API Functions to C#.

This project is VERY simple for the seasoned developer who meets the above criteria.

I have an API from a 3rd party software that exposes C++ functions. These functions need to be mapped to C#. I have an existing and ALREADY WORKING set of C# libraries that function perfectly. Recently, the original API has been updated by the vendor and the original developer of the port libraries is not longer around.

The port libraries uses the UnmanagedExports library developed by Robert Giesecke Version 1.2.7 (available using the NuGet Package Manager in Visual Studio or you can go directly to GitHub) to provide the glue.

In addition to the Giesecke DLL, I have three (3) C# files (DataTypes.cs, ImportedMethods.cs and ExportedMethods.cs) that contain the prototyped delegates and functions for the vendor API. These files, including the UnmanagedExports library (from above) are attached to this project as "PortFiles.zip". Everything you need should be in this .ZIP archive.

We require you to port four (4) new functions from the API into the files above. The functions from the API that need to be ported are highlighted in yellow inside the .PDF file that is included in the above .ZIP file.

The most suitable candidate for this project should have the following skills and experience:

- Deep understanding of C++ and C# languages
- Past experience in porting C++ to C#

To demonstrate that you have read my project requirements, please make sure your bid proposal includes the word "prototype".

While we are C# developers and not C++ developers, we've tried doing this ourselves but we are clearly missing something in our attempts.

================================
We need this completed ASAP
================================

It is also a pretty easy project for the seasoned C++ developer. For this reason, it shouldn't take more than approx. 60 minutes. We will be ready to test your work and give you immediate feedback in case there's any debugging to be done.

NOTE: We have been on Freelancer for a long time and we usually re-hire good developers. For that reason, we may have other work for you on an 'as needed' basis.

ALSO:
=====================
We do not respond to Instant Messages in Freelancer to 'start a discussion' or to 'answer questions' for coders that have not already placed a bid proposal. Everything required for this project is provided and the instructions are clear. We will need at least 1-2 days to review coder profiles to determine the fit for this project and to review bids. Thank you for understanding.

Thank you for considering this project. I appreciate your time and look forward to your application.
