Resolve cPanel WordPress Load Error

Job ID: 40229341

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

My WordPress site has gone offline and cPanel keeps throwing the following message:

“Failed to reset cache for the instance #256: Error: This does not seem to be a WordPress installation.
The used path is: D:/InetPub/vhosts/***********/httpdocs/
Pass --path=`path/to/wordpress` or run `wp core download`.”

The site definitely runs on WordPress and I can still reach the WP admin area, but the front-end will not load. I need someone who can trace the root cause—whether it’s a mis-pointed path, missing core files, or an issue with the WP Toolkit cache—and bring the site back up quickly.

Acceptance criteria
• Front-end loads normally at the main URL with no PHP or WP Toolkit errors in cPanel.
• Core WordPress files are in the correct directory and recognised by cPanel.
• Brief note outlining what was fixed so I can avoid a repeat.

I can supply cPanel, FTP, and WordPress admin credentials as soon as we start.
