Optimize AlmaLinux 8 VPS for Performance website cPanel

Job ID: 40136276

Budget: $2 – $8 USD

I have a fresh AlmaLinux 8 VPS running cPanel/WHM with LiteSpeed already licensed and active. The machine is generous—96 GB RAM, 24 vCPU, and a 400 GB NVMe—so hardware will not be our bottleneck.

The job begins with a single task: import a full-account backup of a large corporate site into this server and make sure everything comes up cleanly (accounts, databases, SSL, email, DNS, cron jobs, etc.). Once it is restored, I want the site to feel instantaneous. My preference is to rely on opcode caching, so OPcache must be enabled, sized correctly, and monitored; beyond that you are free to fine-tune LiteSpeed cache, PHP-FPM pools, MySQL/MariaDB, and any kernel network settings that will squeeze the most out of the box.

I am not in a rush, so you can work methodically and document what you do. Access is IP-restricted to my workstation; we can arrange a VPN or temporary allow-listing so you can log in via SSH and WHM. When you hand the project back, I expect:

• the backup fully restored and verified live in the browser
• OPcache configured with recommended memory and revalidation settings
• LiteSpeed tuned for static and dynamic requests, with cache headers tested
• relevant PHP, MySQL and system parameters adjusted and commented so I can maintain them
• a short change log noting every file, panel screen or command you touched

If you love squeezing milliseconds out of cPanel boxes, let’s talk.
