GoDaddy cPanel Website Migration
Budget: €8 – €30 EUR
I need to relocate an entire business website from one GoDaddy cPanel hosting account to another and have everything work exactly as before. That means moving every file in public_html, exporting and importing the MySQL database, updating connection strings, and making sure all existing cPanel email accounts—with their messages, folders, and passwords—appear unchanged to users once the DNS cut-over happens.
Both the source and destination are standard GoDaddy shared plans, so you’ll have full cPanel access on each side. DNS stays in GoDaddy; after the copy you’ll simply point the domain to the new host and wait for propagation. The site already runs on HTTPS using a GoDaddy SSL certificate, so please reinstall or re-issue that certificate on the new account as part of the move.
Deliverables
• Complete file transfer and correct permissions
• MySQL database dumped, restored, and tested
• All cPanel email accounts cloned with mailboxes intact
• SSL certificate active and the site loading over HTTPS
• Final verification that front-end, admin area, and email send/receive all function normally, plus a concise hand-off note summarizing what was done
Experience with cPanel backup/restore tools, phpMyAdmin, and GoDaddy’s specific quirks is essential. I’d like the migration fully wrapped up within 48 hours of awarding the project.
