Fix Apache PHP-FPM Failure

Job ID: 39985780

Budget: $10 – $150 USD

My sites are offline because the “apache_php_fpm” service on a Linux server (cPanel/WHM) refuses to start. Running /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/restartsrv_apache_php_fpm ends with exit code 29 and Apache stays down, so every domain returns a 500 or timeout.

Nothing was recently upgraded or edited, which makes me suspect a configuration corruption, permission issue, or a hung process rather than a bad update.

You will have full root SSH and WHM access. I simply need the stack up and stable again:

• Diagnose why apache_php_fpm will not start (check logs, configs, modules, system limits).
• Apply the fix, restart services, and verify that all sites load normally.
• Provide a brief note on what was wrong and what you changed so I can avoid the same outage later.

Once pages are loading and the service survives a reboot, the job is done.
