Comprehensive HostGator Account Cleanup
Budget: $30 – $60 USD
My HostGator shared-hosting account has started to run out of space and I suspect there may also be a collection of suspicious or simply unwanted files scattered across the server. I’m not yet certain which directories, databases, so the first step will be a careful audit of everything inside cPanel—public_html and outside of it (some websites /domain that are no longer used were located there), MySQL databases, backups, and logs.
Here’s the flow I have in mind:
• Initial scan: you connect via cPanel / FTP / phpMyAdmin, map out disk usage, and flag any files, plugins, backups, or database tables that look redundant, outdated, or potentially malicious.
• Cleanup plan: present a short report outlining what can be safely removed or archived, with special attention to anything security-related.
• Execution: after I sign off, delete or archive the agreed items, clear caches, and compress oversized logs or image folders.
• Verification: confirm freed-up storage, run a quick malware scan, and make sure all live sites remain functional.
Please keep a full backup before touching anything and document the key commands or cPanel steps you use; Nothing can be deleted unless I authorized it and after you explained that these are unneeded files. All websites, filters, mail, databases and applications will MUST remain functional.
Only experienced cpanel and hostgator freelancers can apply.
I will NOT respond to automated bids
I will NOT respond to chats unless you have a specific question that I can answer.
