Ethnic Food Packaging & Label Design
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
A colleague wants to check feasability of an ethnic food in a can/container, that would be distributed in convenience machines. it would need to fit into the rotary slots of the machines, but anyway, he was wondering about either a can sized situation, or a plastic container with a rip off plastic top , type situation. the can one, it would be like a cans used for condensed fruit juices, or like the ones where you have the pre-made dough in the can. anyway, i need a rough draft, with some basic art for the label, and you'll need to include a fda-compliant label with ingredients list, i think. you can make the ingredients whatever you think goes into ethnic foods. lets pick a samosa as an example to make this pretend label. He'll need the bluprint of the label, with all the little color corner identification lines and dots, like you see in the master versions of labels, for reference. with the blueprint stuffs at the bottom, like author, date, blah blah blah.
there is an example of the container shape and size (cylindrical, so the label is just one flat, thing) in the files section. if he likes the pretend draft, he will sponsor a much more expensive, legitimate label, for the real thing. He has a lot of work to do to get to that point, but he is excited about the idea in general. I need this pretty quick, by thursday evening if possible, with chance to make at least one modification. Avoid any stereotypes please, avoid portrayals of people from the culture, unless featureless.
To help give an idea of what should be on the label, as an example, to make this easier (no pressure, but this may be helpful; feel free to explore deviations from here), consider:
