Academic Counsellor & Mentor

We are looking for a compassionate, disciplined, and highly motivated Academic Counsellor & Mentor who can provide comprehensive guidance and support to a young individual struggling with academic challenges. This unique opportunity requires an individual who is currently enrolled in a university, preferably around 25 years old, who can provide a brotherly, authoritative figure in the absence of an older sibling.

The ideal candidate will have experience in providing counsel, assisting in personal development, and is not afraid to be firm and direct when necessary. The purpose of this engagement is to help alleviate detrimental habits such as procrastination, lack of focus, and immature behaviors that have affected the academic performance of the individual seeking guidance.

Responsibilities
Provide regular academic counselling sessions tailored to address specific challenges such as procrastination, lack of focus, and immaturity.
Develop strategies to improve studying habits, time management skills, and academic motivation.
Serve as a role model demonstrating the importance of education, maturity, and perseverance.
Offer a brotherly figure, providing guidance, mentorship, and encouragement while maintaining a level of authority.
Regularly monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
Use personal academic experience to inspire and guide.
Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.
Requirements
Currently enrolled in a university, preferably around 25 years old.
Proven experience in a mentoring or tutoring role, especially with younger siblings or peers, is preferred.
Strong understanding of academic challenges faced by students and a deep passion for helping others overcome these obstacles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to motivate, engage and inspire a struggling individual.
Highly mature, responsible, and disciplined.
Terms
