This question is in relation to unquoted large companies with 700 employees and a turnover of £75 million consuming about 1 million kWh of electricity a year.

The definition of “annual account” is given s471(2) CA 2006:
• Its annual accounts
• The strategic report
• The directors remuneration
• The directors report, and
• The auditor’s report on those accounts, the strategic report (where this is covered by the auditors’ report) and the directors report (unless the company is exempt from audit)

Firstly, I would like to know:

1. What reports (as opposed to accounts) do I (“Director”) need to prepare or obtain when producing my annual accounts?

I want to what reports have to be produced and what must they address. I just need the basic requirements and the provisions of the legalisation which say so. (This can be in table or list)

Secondly, I would also like to know:

1. Whether I need to produce some sort of statement about corporate governance or a formal report corporate governance statement
2. Whether I need to include my energy consumption and C02 omissions.

I need to know whether I need to produce these things or not and where the legislations says so.
