PDF Text Copy-Paste Project

I have a batch of PDF files containing only text data that need to be copied and pasted—no re-typing required—into the Word template I’ll supply. The task is purely copy-pasting from PDFs, keeping the original reading order and applying the simple formatting rules I’ll outline (headings on their own line, single blank line between paragraphs).

Scope
• Roughly 20 PDFs to start (final count confirmed once we begin)
• Each PDF ranges from 2–10 pages of continuous text

Deliverables
1. One Word document per source PDF, named to match the original.
2. A checklist indicating when each file was completed.

Acceptance Criteria
• Every word present and readable, with no missing sections.
• Consistent spacing—no extra line breaks or hidden characters.
• Files pass a quick side-by-side spot-check against the PDFs.

Any standard PDF reader (Adobe, Foxit, etc.) plus Microsoft Word or Google Docs will work. The PDFs are text-based, so OCR isn’t necessary. If you can begin right away and handle accurate text transfer at a good pace, this should be a straightforward assignment.
