Elementary Textbook Proofreading & Copyedit
Budget: ₹3,500 – ₹4,500 INR
I have an elementary-level textbook that blends Science and Language Arts units. The manuscript is complete, but before it goes to layout I need a careful pair of eyes to polish it. Your task is to proofread line by line, copyedit for clarity, age-appropriate tone, and consistency, and make sure every page follows our institution-specific guidelines.
Please work in Word using Track Changes so I can review every adjustment. Flag any content that might confuse a 6- to 10-year-old reader, note missing glossary terms, and standardize headings, captions, and activity instructions. At the end I’ll need:
• The annotated file with all edits tracked
• A clean version ready for typesetting
• A brief style sheet summarising key choices (spelling, punctuation, capitalization, glossary conventions)
Accuracy, kid-friendly language and respect for our house style are the priorities. If you have questions about the guidelines, just ask and I’ll supply the reference document.
