Book data entry

I have a collection of fiction titles already sitting in neatly organised digital files. What I need now is for each book’s summary and its genre to be transferred into a clean, uniform dataset—preferably a spreadsheet or CSV that I can later import into my catalogue system.

The workflow is straightforward: open each digital file, copy the exact summary, assign the correct genre, and drop both pieces of information into the designated columns. Accuracy in spelling, punctuation, and consistent genre naming is crucial because this file will feed directly into my public-facing database.

Deliverables (all items required):
• One master spreadsheet (Excel or Google Sheets) with separate columns for Book Title, Author, Summary, and Genre.
• All text double-checked for typos or missing accents.
• File delivered ready for immediate import—no hidden formatting or merged cells.

Acceptance criteria:
• 100 % of the supplied fiction titles represented in the sheet.
• Summaries match the source word-for-word.
• Genre tags adhere to the list I will provide at project start.
