Ambitious Copywriter to Head of Growth

Job ID: 40387949

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

This is not a content writing job. This is a path to Head of Growth.

We're a fast-scaling DTC supplement brand and we're looking for someone who wants to become one of the best direct response marketers alive.

Not someone who wants a chill freelance gig. Someone who wants to build a career, lead a team, and get paid extremely well for being great at this.

If you're great and producing winners consistently, you're getting promoted to Head of Growth with a real salary, a team under you, and equity-level upside.

This is the single fastest path from freelance copywriter to running an entire growth department at a brand doing serious revenue.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Short-form ad scripts. 1-minute Meta ads. Hooks, angles, concepts, editor direction.

Long-form Facebook native ads. The kind that look like a post but read like a story and sell like a sales letter.

VSLs. 3-minute, 5-minute, 10-minute, 15-minute video sales letters.

Advertorials and articles. Long-form landers that educate, build trust, and convert cold traffic into buyers.

You'll also be dissecting and annotating our existing winning advertorials.

Breaking them down section by section. Why the hook works. Where the awareness shift happens. How the proof is structured. What the CTA is doing psychologically.

If you can't look at a working piece of copy and explain exactly why it prints money, you're not ready for this.
You'll be working alongside AI (specifically Claude) as a daily tool. Not a crutch. A multiplier. You bring the instinct, the taste, the direct response brain. AI handles the grunt work. Together you move at 10x speed. If you're not comfortable working with AI tools every day, this isn't for you.

WHO WE ACTUALLY WANT:

You need to be a student of this craft. Not someone who watched a few YouTube videos about copywriting. A real student.

You know who Eugene Schwartz is. You've read Breakthrough Advertising or you're deep into it right now. You understand the five levels of awareness and what it actually means to meet a prospect where they are, not where you wish they were.

You know Gary Halbert. David Ogilvy. Claude Hopkins. Joe Sugarman. Dan Kennedy. Robert Collier. Not just the names. The ideas. The principles. You can explain why a 1920s newspaper ad still outperforms most modern copy.

You understand market sophistication. You know why the same angle that crushed six months ago is dead now, and what to do about it.

You understand personas. Not surface-level demographics. Real psychographic depth. What keeps your prospect up at night, what language they use to describe their problem, what they've already tried, why they're skeptical, and what emotional trigger will finally get them to move.

You understand funnels. Not just ""ad to landing page."" The full architecture. Ad to quiz to advertorial to VSL to PDP to post-purchase. You understand what each stage is doing psychologically and how the copy shifts as the prospect moves through.

You study winning ads the way a fighter studies tape. You have a swipe file. You can break down why an ad works. The hook, the mechanism, the proof, the story, the close. Not just ""it looks good."" The actual structure.

You know that direct response is not creative writing. Every word earns its place or it gets cut. Every sentence has one job: make them read the next one.

You are willing to push it to the absolute edge. We don't write safe, corporate, brand-approved fluff. We write copy that provokes, disrupts, and converts. If you're uncomfortable with aggressive angles and bold claims backed by real science, this is not the place for you.

You don't need years of experience. You don't need a fat portfolio. What you need is genuine obsession with this craft, the hunger to become elite, and the willingness to be coached.

We will train you. We will give you frameworks, tools, feedback, and direct mentorship. But you need to be the kind of person who takes that and sprints with it. Not someone who needs to be told things twice.

COMPENSATION:

We don't do hourly. We don't do salary. We do something better. You get paid for what you produce and what it does. The harder you go, the more you make. There is no ceiling.
Per deliverable:

$5 per short-form ad script with editor brief.
$10 to $20 per long-form Facebook native ad.
$15 to $30 per VSL script, depending on length.

Now here's where most people stop reading job posts and start applying.
Winner bonuses:

$75 every time one of your scripts crosses $5,000 in ad spend.
$200 every time one of your scripts crosses $20,000 in ad spend.
$500 every time one of your scripts crosses $50,000 in ad spend.
$1,000 if you write a script that crosses $100,000 in spend. We scale winners hard. This will happen if you're good.

No cap. Not per month. Not per quarter. Ever. You write the thing that becomes our next control and we pour six figures behind it? You eat. And you keep eating every time you top yourself. The better you get, the more you make. That is the deal.

If you're mid, you make a couple of hundred bucks and we both move on. No hard feelings.

Let's do the math so this is real for you:

A great month: More than most full-time PH salaries. For work you can do from your bedroom in your underwear.

A killer quarter: You get promoted to Head of Growth with a real monthly salary, a team under you, and the kind of career trajectory that doesn't exist at a normal company.

The point is simple. We don't want to pay you less. We want to pay you more. We just want to pay you more because you're making us money.

That's the deal. You win, we win. No politics, no annual reviews, no begging for a raise. Your scripts are your resume and every winner is a promotion.

TO APPLY
No resumes.
No cover letters.
No ""Dear Hiring Manager.""
We don't care how you prove it.
We care that you prove it.

Pick as many or as few of the tasks below as you need to show us what you're capable of.
There's no minimum and no maximum.

Just know that this is the only thing we're judging you on.

Just link a google drive with the tasks you choose.

1. One ad you've seen recently that you think is genius, and a short breakdown of why it works. Dissect it like you're teaching a class.

2. Write a Facebook native ad script (300 to 500 words) for a bone supplement. Show us your best hook and your best close and most importantly show us you can write long-form that flows and sells.

3. A voice note, under 2 minutes, telling us why you're the one.

4. Annotate your favourite sections of this advertorial:

Explain each part is doing, why it works, where the awareness stage shifts, and what you'd test changing.

Bonus: What copywriting books have you read? Just list them. If the answer is none, tell us which one you're starting with and why.

That's it. The work speaks. If your copy is fire and your brain works the way we need it to, we don't care about anything else. Good luck!"
