Gaming IP Licensing Consultant -- 2
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I’m preparing a new project that will draw from several existing video games, and I need a seasoned legal-business mind to secure the necessary permissions and licences. Because I plan to reference elements from multiple games, I want a clear, practical strategy for approaching each right-holder, negotiating fair terms, and memorialising those terms in enforceable agreements.
You should already be fluent in copyright and trademark considerations specific to interactive entertainment, comfortable interpreting EULAs, and familiar with the realities of licensing game mechanics—an area where precedents are few and wording must be precise. If you have a network in the industry or a track record of successful deals with major or indie studios, that will help us move faster.
Key deliverables
• An overall licensing roadmap outlining who to contact, in what order, and with what pitch
• Draft correspondence and term-sheet templates tailored to each target game
• A standard licence agreement (or amendments to the licensor’s boilerplate) that protects my future releases across platforms
• A brief memo flagging any high-risk mechanics or assets that are unlikely to be licensable, so we can design around them early
I’ll provide full details on the games and the assets I want to incorporate once we’re underway. Let’s make sure every creative piece I use is backed by solid, defensible permission.
