LA County Title Deed Research

Job ID: 39860852

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I need someone who can physically visit the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder office, in Newark Califopull the title deed file for one of my relatives’ properties, and reconstruct the chain of ownership during the 20th century. My goal is to understand exactly who held title and when, so please pay close attention to every recorded transfer, gift, quit-claim, or probate-related change that appears in the records.

This can’t be done online so if you don’t live near Newark California please don’t apply

Once the documents are located, create clear digital scans of every page relevant to ownership history—no need for certified copies as long as the scans are legible and complete. If you spot any gaps or references to off-site microfilm, let me know right away so we can decide whether to have those reels pulled as well.

Deliverables:
• A chronological summary outlining each owner, the date of transfer, and the instrument number or book/page reference.
• High-resolution digital scans (PDF) of all supporting deed pages, clerk annotations, and any attached riders.

Please confirm your familiarity with the LA County system, your expected turnaround once you’re in the building, and how you plan to provide the scans.
