Thriller Novel Edit & Formatting
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
I have a completed, 35,000 word thriller and want to take it from “finished draft” to a polished manuscript that’s ready for both standard Word submission and seamless Kindle release.
What I need from you is a careful proofread for grammar and punctuation alongside a light-to-moderate line edit that tightens wording, clarifies meaning, and keeps the pace sharp without dulling the content. I’d like all changes shown with Track Changes so I can review changes.
Once the text is clean, please format it into two final versions: a neatly styled Word document (.docx) that agents or beta readers can open instantly, and a Kindle-ready file (EPUB or KPF generated through Kindle Create or similar) that preserves chapter breaks, scene breaks, and any front- or back-matter. If you regularly work with thriller authors and understand the genre’s rhythm—tight paragraphs, cliff-hanger chapter endings, and strategic white space—that will be a plus.
Deliverables
• Edited Word document with Track Changes and a clean copy
• Kindle-ready file that passes Amazon’s previewer without errors
• Brief style sheet noting recurring fixes or preferences
I’m looking to get started as soon as possible and will happily answer any questions about the manuscript’s current state or formatting specifics.
