I’m ready to take my storybook manuscript from draft to publication-ready and need a meticulous proofreader to help me get there. The final word count is still being locked in, but anticipate something in the short-to-mid-length range—anywhere from a concise children’s tale to a light novel.

Here’s what I need from you:
• A thorough line-by-line check for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and consistency, completed in MS Word with Track Changes turned on.
• Clear comments or suggestions whenever phrasing, tone, or pacing could be smoothed out.
• Two deliverables: the marked-up file and a clean, fully corrected version.
• A brief style sheet summarizing key decisions (preferred spellings, capitalization, tense, etc.) so the manuscript stays cohesive if I make future tweaks.

If you’ve handled fiction—especially children’s or YA—please highlight that. Share two relevant editing samples, outline your typical turnaround for a 30k–50k word book, and flag any information you still need before we start. I plan to send over a sample chapter within the week so you can gauge workload accurately.
