Self-Publish Book Editing & Layout

I have a completed manuscript of 115,532 words spread across 596 pages that also contains a series of embedded photographs. My goal is to take it straight to self-publishing, so I need everything polished, fully compliant with APA guidelines, and laid out so the print and e-book versions look professional from cover to index.

The text requires all three levels of service:
• Proofreading – to remove any lingering typos or punctuation slips
• Copy editing – to tighten sentence structure, grammar, and APA-specific details such as headings, citations, references, tables, and figure captions
• Content editing – to flag redundancy, improve flow, and ensure the photos sit in the most logical places without interrupting narrative coherence

Once the language is clean, I need the interior formatted: margins, running heads, fonts, paragraph styles, photo placement, table of contents, footnotes, references, and final pagination that meets major POD specifications (KDP and IngramSpark are my immediate targets). The same master file should convert smoothly into an EPUB suitable for Kindle and Apple Books.

Deliverables
1. A fully edited Word document with all tracked changes resolved.
2. A print-ready PDF (6"×9") that passes the KDP and Ingram pre-flight checks.
3. An EPUB file validated by EPUBCheck.
4. A brief style sheet summarising key editorial decisions and APA conventions applied.

To keep the project on schedule, I’ll provide the current Word file plus high-resolution images on acceptance. I’m happy to answer questions quickly and can review chapters in batches if that speeds things up.
