Quarterly Alumni Magazine Production
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I publish a quarterly magazine that keeps our fraternity alumni informed and engaged, and I’m ready to hand the full production cycle to a capable freelancer. The magazine is primarily informative in tone and must resonate with former brothers who span multiple graduating classes and live all over the country.
Every issue runs about 5 pages and needs:
• well-researched alumni success stories,
• concise coverage of upcoming events, and
• lively chapter updates from our active members.
You will take raw interview notes, photos, and basic event bullet points that I supply and transform them into polished, print-ready pages. That means copy-editing for consistency, fact-checking names and dates, crafting headlines and pull-quotes, designing an attractive layout in Adobe InDesign (or equivalent), and exporting both a press-ready PDF and a web-optimised PDF. I also need the packaged InDesign file so our printer can make any last-minute tweaks.
The look should stay on brand—our colour palette, fonts, and crest files are ready for you—but I’m open to fresh layout ideas that feel modern while still respectful of tradition. Final approval happens once the PDF passes a quick pre-flight check and matches our style guide.
If you have experience producing informative magazines and can reliably meet a quarterly schedule, I’d love to see recent samples along with a brief outline of your workflow.
