Proofread Family Book Manuscript
Budget: £10 – £15 GBP
I have finished writing a family-focused book and need a careful proofreader to give the manuscript its final polish. Because this is a personal project, accuracy matters just as much as preserving the authentic voice of my relatives’ stories. The task centres purely on proofreading: correcting spelling, grammar, punctuation, and ensuring consistency in dates, names, and formatting.
To make collaboration smooth, I’ll supply the text in an editable Word file. Please return:
• One version with track-changes visible so I can review every edit
• A clean, publication-ready copy
When you’re done, the manuscript should read naturally, be free of errors, and feel cohesive from first page to last. If you spot anything unclear or potentially confusing—whether it’s a timeline detail or an awkward sentence—flag it so I can revise. I’m open to following either Chicago or AP style; let me know your preference when you start.
