Post Cards from the Pump House

I am trying to get some essays published in literary journals and need another GOOD set of eyes and help with MLA style kind of stuff and cutting my work down. I plan to submit four or five essays between now and September hovering mostly btw 6 and 7k, with one anchor that will be about 9k. I am a former strategic planner, campaign director and mother of two young girls so I am happy to work within the timeframes and deadlines we put together as a team as a work plan. Eventually I want them to serve as pieces of a memoir as they meld together what I think is a story far more important than I am. I am simultaneously writing a book proposal for it. Within the essays, there’s family, the early rise of corporate power, politics and policy, race and reckoning, sickening violence and fierce demonstrations of love. There’s Roger Clemens, my Grandpap Tichon, my dying sister, Fat Joe and Barack Obama.
