I publish brief news pieces—never more than 500 words each—and I want every story to read as clean, sharp and error-free as possible. Your sole focus will be tightening grammar, punctuation and spelling so the facts I provide shine through without distraction. I will handle clarity edits and any fact-checking in house; you simply give each article a swift, meticulous polish and return a final, ready-to-publish file.
Turnaround is important because these are time-sensitive news items. I typically send batches of 5–10 stories throughout the week and would like each one back within 24 hours of receipt. Please make all changes using Track Changes (Word) or Suggesting mode (Google Docs) so I can review and accept edits quickly.
If you have professional copy-editing experience in a newsroom or digital publication, that’s a plus—let me know. Otherwise, a solid portfolio demonstrating mastery of English mechanics will do.
