I’ve tightened a short non-fiction narrative passage and now want a second editor to push it to a truly publication-ready level. Your task is simple yet meticulous: read the excerpt line by line, refine any sentence that stumbles, correct every slip in grammar or punctuation, and smooth the overall flow so the piece feels effortless from start to finish.
Please work either in Microsoft Word or Google Docs with Track Changes switched on; that visibility is essential. Whenever you do more than a light tweak, leave a brief in-line comment explaining the rationale—this will let me compare your editorial approach with mine.
The excerpt is short, so I’m looking for a 48-hour turnaround. On approval of your edits and notes I’ll decide whether to bring you on for a suite of longer projects already in the queue.
