Nonfiction Book KDP Editing & Formatting
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I have finished the manuscript of a nonfiction book and now need it professionally prepared for Amazon KDP. The text already reads well, but I want a fresh editorial eye to make sure every reference is accurate, nothing is plagiarised, and the final files meet KDP’s technical guidelines for both eBook and print.
Here is what I’m after:
• Copy-edit and line edit for clarity, flow, grammar and consistency.
• Check every citation and reference for factual accuracy; flag anything that needs my input or additional sources.
• Run a plagiarism scan (Turnitin, Grammarly, or comparable) and share the report.
• Format the interior twice: an EPUB that passes Kindle Previewer with no errors, and a print-ready PDF (paperback & hardcover trim sizes provided once we start).
• Create a compelling Amazon product description (around 200–250 words) with researched keywords woven in naturally for SEO.
• Return a brief change log or editorial memo summarising key edits and fact-check notes.
I’m comfortable with APA, Chicago or MLA conventions—whichever best suits the layout you choose—so feel free to recommend the most appropriate style as you work.
Tools such as Vellum, Adobe InDesign, Calibre, or Kindle Create are welcome as long as the final files upload smoothly to KDP.
