Non-Fiction Editing & Formatting

I have a completed non-fiction manuscript that now needs a professional eye before it goes to print and e-book distribution. Your main task will be twofold:

• Editing – a thorough line-by-line review for clarity, flow, grammar, and consistency using Track Changes in Word (or Google Docs if you prefer). I’m looking for concise suggestions that preserve my voice while tightening the prose.
• Formatting – once the text is polished, I’ll need clean, industry-standard interior layouts for both Kindle and print‐on‐demand. If you work in InDesign, Vellum, or another reliable tool, let me know; I want the final files ready to upload without additional tweaks.

The manuscript is already written, so I can send it over immediately. In your bid, please tell me:
– Which editing style guide you normally follow (Chicago Manual, APA, etc.).
– What software you use for e-book and paperback formatting.
– A sample of a similar non-fiction project you’ve edited and formatted.

I don’t need a cover designed at this stage, but if you can recommend best practices for page counts and trim sizes, that’s a plus. My goal is a polished manuscript and flawless interior files that meet Amazon KDP and IngramSpark requirements. Looking forward to working together!
