Middle School History Textbook Copyedit
Budget: ₹2,500 – ₹3,500 INR
I have a complete draft of a middle-school History textbook and need an experienced copyeditor to polish it before we head to layout. Your main mission is to eliminate every grammar, punctuation and usage slip, while also keeping an eye out for any historical inaccuracies that may have crept in. Because the audience is grades 6-8, the prose has to stay clear, age-appropriate and engaging; please don’t rewrite for voice, just tighten, correct and flag anything that might confuse a young reader.
You will be working in Microsoft Word with Track Changes turned on so I can review every adjustment. Where a factual point seems doubtful, add a brief comment citing a reliable source (a reputable academic site, primary document or standard reference work is fine). I’m following a simplified Chicago Manual of Style, so familiarity with that guide is a plus.
Deliverables:
• The annotated Word file showing all edits and comments
• A clean, acceptance-ready file with all changes applied
