I have a complete middle-school history textbook that now needs a careful copy-edit focused only on grammar and punctuation. All the content is final, so you will not be asked to rewrite or fact-check; I simply want every sentence polished for correct mechanics while keeping the existing voice intact.
The manuscript is already organized into chapters, sidebars, timelines, and review questions. Your job will be to:
• Scan the full text for spelling errors, comma splices, misplaced modifiers, and any other grammatical or punctuation issues appropriate for a grade-level audience.
• Mark changes clearly using Track Changes in Microsoft Word so I can review everything at a glance.
• Flag any ambiguous phrasing that might confuse a middle-school reader, but do not alter factual material.
• Deliver a clean version with all edits accepted plus the tracked-change version.
