Job Description
I am seeking a book layout designer / formatter to create a clean, professional interior layout for a completed nonfiction training manual used in a professional clinical workshop setting.
The goal is a clear, readable, print-ready layout for U.S. Letter size (8.5 x 11 inches), suitable for black and white, double-sided printing and coil or perfect binding. This is not a graphic design or marketing project — it is a formatting and usability project with light, restrained branding.
The branding is limited to consistent use of the method name and simple identification of the material as The Storyboard Method for Counseling.
Scope of Work
Format the interior of the manuscript for U.S. Letter (8.5 x 11)
Create a clean hierarchy for headings, subheadings, lists, and body text
Set appropriate margins for double-sided printing and binding
Insert page numbers and running headers/footers if appropriate
Format references, appendix, and supporting materials cleanly
Include and format approximately 10 pages of blank storyboard templates at the end
Lightly brand the interior by:
Including the method name (The Storyboard Method for Counseling) in headers or footers
Including a simple copyright or attribution line where appropriate
Ensure the final document is print-ready and visually consistent
Style Requirements
Black and white only (no color dependence)
Clean, readable fonts (professional and neutral)
No decorative elements, illustrations, or marketing graphics
Adequate white space for note-taking
Calm, clinical, and professional tone
