I have completed a historical-fiction manuscript and now need a copy editor to bring it to publishable quality. The book is full-length fiction (about 103,000 words). It has been rewritten based on the work of my developmental editor (previously engaged through freelancer).
Your focus will be on:
• Line-level corrections: grammar, punctuation, and syntax
• Consistency checks: character names, timelines, Etc.
I will supply the manuscript in Word; please return the fully tracked-changes file plus a clean copy. Familiarity with Chicago Manual of Style is preferred, and experience editing fiction—especially historical—is essential.
