Elementary Science Textbook Copyedit
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I have an elementary-level science textbook ready for a full copy-edit and need a detail-oriented professional to polish it before it goes to layout. The work spans three main areas I have flagged: tightening grammar and punctuation so the language stays clear and age-appropriate, double-checking scientific facts and examples for accuracy, and bringing consistency to headings, call-outs, diagrams, and page breaks so the final file is press-ready.
The manuscript is already drafted in Word, complete with illustrations and tables. I will share the current style sheet and a simple template that shows how chapter openers, activity boxes, and review questions should appear. You’re welcome to suggest subtle design tweaks so long as everything remains friendly for young readers and easy for teachers to navigate.
Please edit in Track Changes, then supply:
• a marked-up Word file with all revisions visible
• a clean, fully-formatted version ready for layout or PDF conversion
• a brief style memo noting any decisions on capitalization, units, or terminology
I’ll consider the job complete once all corrections are accepted with no lingering comments, the layout is uniform from chapter to chapter, and the facts align with current elementary science standards. If you work in InDesign too, let me know—future phases may involve final page proofs.
