Dual-Column Word Merge
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have two Word files that need to become one clean, publication-ready document. The first file is the “Hot Items.” The second carries supplemental information that belongs in the same sections. The second file has all the "cold items" Both files already share identical headings, so every heading in the primary file has a matching heading in the supplemental file.
Here’s what I need you to do:
• Insert each supplemental section directly beside its counterpart in the main text, keeping the original order intact.
• Format the supplemental content in a separate right-hand column so readers can scan the primary text on the left and the supplemental notes on the right.
• Preserve existing styles, numbering, and spacing from the main document; only the supplemental column should be formatted differently (right-aligned column layout).
• Deliver the final merged .docx, ready to print or export to PDF, with no manual clean-up required on my end.
If you’re comfortable working with advanced Word layout tools—columns, section breaks, styles, and precise alignment—let’s get this done quickly.
